Does anyone know if there's a 24 hour taxi service that can take us from Welkenraedt in Belgium to Aachen station at 2am on Monday 1st April? The alternative is a four hour wait at Welkenraedt.....

Hey peeps, I hope you can help me. I have house full of ppl for Christmas here in Aachen. Now the weather is horrible and it's have been snowing for the last 24hrs. I was thinking of taking my guests on day trip (max driving time 2hrs in one direction) from Aachen on Boxing Day 926th Dec) Now the roads are in bed shape, but we still want to go somewhere interesting. We moved in Aachen year ago, and I do not know the area or should I say NRW state very well. Last year we went to Koblenz & Trier but the roads were more than OK. So do you have any suggestion for interesting day out(castle, stately house, interesting town) in the freezing cold, somewhere short driving from Aachen?? Any info greatly appreciated. Valentina

I will be connecting in Aachen, having taken the train from Koln to Aachen, and then wish to take the bus from Aachen to Eupen Belgium. I will have only 20 minutes. Is it possible to buy my bus ticket on the bus, rather than at the bus station ticket window? I am worried that I might not have sufficient time. (DB Bahn says it takes 6 minutes to walk from the train station to the bus station)>

My family (husband, self, and 2 year-old son) will be in Aachen on business for 3 months this fall. I'm attempting to find a furnished apartment in an area that is both safe for myself and son, and convenient for my husband to the University of Aachen. The best place I've found so far is at Neustraße 41-43 52066 Aachen, about 5km from the University hospital. Questions: 1. Is this a safe area that I could walk with my son to the store, bus stations, etc.? 2. Is this a feasible distance to my husbands work to bike or ride the bus? I greatly appreciate any help, suggestions, or advice.

I'll be in Aachen from March 12 through March 14 and I would like to take the bus from busstop Elisenbrunnen to the tri point marker. What bus do I need to take? I think I need to transfer from one bus to another at some point; does anyone know? I'm looking for bus numbers. I assume I just do the reverse to get back from the tri point to busstop Elisenbrunnen. Also, since one of the days I'll be in Aachen is a Sunday, does the bus travel the same routes on Sundays or is there less service on Sunday? I may be in Brussels in March and would like to travel to Aachen. My main interest there is visiting the tri-point where Germany, Netherlands and Belgium meet. (1)Is there a direct train link from Brussels to Aachen? (2) Where is a good place to stay (safe, clean) that isn't terribly expensive for one night in Aachen? (3) How would I go about getting from the hotel to the tri-point that I want to visit.

Myself and a friends are going to be in Maastricht soon and we want to hop the bus to Aachen and over indulge in beer. I have made this journey many times but normally I have dinner and maybe do a bit of shopping but never just for purpose of drinking lots of beer. Can someone give me some ideas of some pubs that might not be so popular with tourist but rather will more locals? I know my way around Aachen pretty well but as stated just never focused on searching for such beer halls ect.
